On November 15th, the Japanese School had an Open House and the students displayed their school work and crafts. The students had done calligraphy of certain Kanji’s, enjoying the art of black ink and trying to keep clean. The prints were on display at the Open House and will also be displayed at the JVCC’s New Year Celebration.
The School would like to welcome the new students who have joined us this year: Amanda Houston; Jake Houston; Kimi Murai; and Alex Sadamune.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

The program also aims to familiarize the students with the the various traditions and customs of Japan.
Questions and Answers
Q. How can my child learn Japanese if I don't speak it?
A. Even though you don't speak Japanese, you may learn Japanese while helping your child learn. Be supportive and encouraging. Speak to the instructor about the lesson plan and homework for the week and help your child study.
Q. Who will be teaching my child?
A. Our instructors have all spoken and written Japanese as their native language. Many of our instructors have taught Japanese to adults in other language schools or teach during the week.
