Senior Exemption Age Limit Change

Earlier this year, the Board of Directors voted to change the senior exemption age from 75 to 80, at which time all seniors will attain the benefit of Keiro status. This means your membership dues exemption which was to start at 75 is now changed to 80 years of age. The change will be effective starting January 1, 2008. Those becoming 75 in 2007 will still be able to claim the exemption, provided you submit a written request and your application to the office and are approved. (Form letters are available in the office.) To qualify, you must have been a VJCC member for the previous five (5) consecutive years.

The change to make the Senior and Keiro status the same age will alleviate some of the confusion that has existed in the past.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please note that the 2008 annual memberships are now due. The deadline for submission of the Membership Application with dues is January 31, 2008. Please refer to the notice on the front page for more information about membership dues.
