VENICE KARATE CLUB

The Venice Karate Club is a member club of the Japan Karate Association (JKA). Our head instructor, Sensei Kelvin Uyeda, has been training for over 30 years and has a 5-dan ranking and certification for instructor and judge from the JKA. The club also has numerous instructors and students of Dan ranking, with some of them holding instructor, examiner, and judging licenses with the JKA. Our students regularly participate in competitions, regionally and nationally, with several trying out and competing in World competitions.

The club meets for training on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m in the MultiPurpose Room. The training times are below.

7:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.  Session 1

7:45 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.  Session 2

8:30 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.  Session 3

All students are encouraged to participate in multiple sessions and are welcome to stay for additional training which the instructors tailor to the needs of the students.

Membership is open to all, and new members are welcome. Members must also become members of the Venice Japanese Community Center.
