With over 10,000 members, the JACL provides a wide variety of networking opportunities throughout the country. We promote and preserve the cultural values, heritage and legacy of the Japanese American community by participating in events that fulfill our parent organization’s mission to protect civil rights and preserve the Japanese-American culture.

The Venice-West Los Angeles JACL offers leadership development (Frances Kitagawa Leadership – funded internship), opportunities to participate in National JACL programs (Washington DC Leadership Summit, National Youth Council, JACL Fellowships), scholarships awarded by the National organization and advocacy for the community (Venice Japanese American Memorial Marker, UCLA NSU Cultural Night, co-sponsored VJCC College Information Day).

Meetings take place on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the VJCC Conference Room.

For class information, please call the office at 310-822-8885 or email office@vjcc.com.
